Project Overview
Strength and Stability Assessment.
Delivery
AMS performed stability and strength assessment of a modular barge configuration.
Stability was assessed using GHS for 2 configurations:
- singe mobile crane configuration.
- dual mobile crane configuration.
Deliverables:
- Floating crane load chart, based on stability analysis In compliance with client requirements noted below.
- local and global structural strength assessment of the deck in way of the cranes and equipment
Client Requirements:
1) 46 CFR 173.020(b) Lifting Criterion for operation in protected or partially protected waters.
2) EM-385 Section 16.L
3) Barge Heel/Trim to remain below 1 degree. Machine List/Trim to remain below 1 degree.
